Yes — we can offer chain-free blockout roller blinds using Rollease Acmeda’s Easy Spring Air system.
Easy Spring Air is a chain-free, child-safe roller blind control option. Instead of using a control chain, you raise or lower the blind by gently moving the bottom rail to the height you want. For best operation, always control the blind from the centre of the bottom rail rather than pulling from one side.
It is a good option where you want a cleaner look, fewer dangling controls, or a child-safe alternative to chain-operated blockout blinds. It can work especially well in children’s rooms, nurseries, bathrooms, smaller windows, and other spaces where cord-free operation is preferred.
There are some important limits and requirements to be aware of:
• Minimum blind width is 498mm
• Maximum dimensions depend on the blind proportions, but examples include up to approx 3000mm wide x 1700mm drop, 2900mm wide x 2900mm drop, or 2700mm wide x 3000mm drop
• It must use a D30 or D30-Silent bottom rail
• If the blind is hard to reach, a pull stick can be added — $40
• If using Easy Spring Air on dual blinds, both the sunscreen and blockout blind need to be specified as Easy Spring Air, with an added extra cost over the cost of the two blinds for the appropriate dual brackets — $35
• Easy Spring Air blinds cost more than standard chain-control blockout blinds
You do not need to pull the blind down first to release a spring, like the old days. Easy Spring Air is designed so you simply raise or lower the bottom rail with light pressure. There is also a built-in tension adjuster, so the blind can be fine-tuned after installation if needed.
