Most customers face-fix their awning to a solid wall, as this is the most common and straightforward installation method. Standard face-fix brackets are included in your quote
If you’re planning a soffit or top fix installation, you’ll need soffit brackets, which cost extra (see ‘What optional extras are available?’ FAQ for pricing).
How many soffit/top fix brackets you'll need depends on awning width and projection:
-
Any width and ≤ 2.5 m projection – 3 brackets
-
≤ 5 m wide × 3 m projection – 3 brackets
-
5–6 m wide × 3 m projection – 5 brackets
-
≤ 5 m wide × 3.5–4 m projection – 4 brackets
-
5–6 m wide × 3.5–4 m projection – 5 brackets
Tip: Ensure all fixings are into solid framing, not just cladding. If you’re unsure, check with a certified builder to confirm suitability, Always fix to structural timber or steel
