Awnings are most commonly face-fixed to a solid wall — this is usually the most straightforward installation method. Standard face-fix brackets are included in your quote.
If you’re planning a soffit or top fix installation, perhaps because there isn't any suitable wall, you’ll need soffit brackets, which cost extra (see the ‘What are the optional extras for my awning?’ FAQ for pricing).
How many soffit/top fix brackets you'll need depends on awning width and projection:

Any width and ≤ 2.5 m projection — 3 brackets

≤ 5 m wide × 3 m projection — 3 brackets

All fixings must go into solid framing, not just cladding.
